Defeat Maarselok in his roost after using the Azureblight Seed in Veteran Lair of Maarselok.

Selene's Savior is awarded for defeating Maarselok in his roost in Lair of Maarselok at Veteran difficulty level, after using the Azureblight Seed, which makes the battle more difficult by:

  • The enemies will be generally stronger.
  • Stranglers will spawn during the fight in addition to the usual Wyrm adds.
  • Sweeping Breath (Maarselok's breath in a wide arc going in either direction) will be placing a Flame DoT on players and leave a spot of burning ground on hit, therefore it's advised to dodge this attack against its direction.
  • Selene will become hostile for the fight. She will be using some of her attacks from dungeon's first encounter (Poison Bolt barrage that needs to be interrupted [verification needed — poison cone as well?]). Breaking her damage shield will temporarily make her friendly.
  • Altered Scourge Seed cleansing: instead of one player getting the characteristic blue glow and cleansing at any pad, a complex mechanic to determine who is cursed and where they should go:
    • Maarselok will drop a blue-glowing seed on the ground. It can be synergised with to highlight one of cleansing pads - correct one for players free of curse, and a different one for the afflicted.
    • Players must quickly communicate and determine, who is actually cursed, and that person should use the correct pad for cleansing. Usual way of doing that is leaving group tank to tanking, while the rest of the group use synergy. If they see different pads lit, the "outlier" cleanses on the pad that other two have seen. If all three see the same pad, it means the tank is the one cursed and should go cleanse on it.
    • Using wrong pad or trying to cleanse unaffected player will kill the pad user and spawn an Azureblight Lurcher. [verification needed — unsure if the seed is gone in this case, needs additional testing. It's likely a wipe, though]
    • Important! Selene must be in her friendly state for cleansing, otherwise the attempt will fail.
  • Dead group members' bodies get covered in Putrid Stalk vines, which need to be destroyed before resurrecting.
