Scout Seyran guarding the Western Covenant Lodge

Scout Seyran is a Redguard member of the Covenant delegation in Pa'alat who can be found on sentry duty, guarding the Western Covenant Lodge.

Apparently a bit of a drunkard, she can be tempted away from her post by claiming you've an entire keg of ale hidden for her or by acquiring a refreshing drink on her behalf from one of the nearby leisure stalls.

Cariel has bad blood with her and is the one who suggests luring Seyran away. If you do so, this will result in Cariel killing Seyran as soon as she reaches the bridge.

Dialogue

You'll find her guarding the Covenant Lodge on the south side of town. If you're not trying to get past her, she'll say:

"No entry without permission. Get out of here."

If try to get into the lodge she's guarding, she'll say:

"Oblivion's sake, another clueless jackass. I'm hung over and bored. What?"

I need to get into the lodge. I'm expected.

"Ha! No, you're not. You're lying. Look, get out of here before I call down the lion's fury on your head.
Unless... you're hiding a keg of ale somewhere in that fancy garb?"

[Persuade] I've actually been cooling a keg under the bridge behind the lodge.

"Ha! Forget this standing around. Shouldn't have told speedy Seyran!"

Give me a moment, and I can get you one.

"Finally! I haven't had a drink in hours. Grab me a drink from one of the leisure stalls and you can do whatever you want."

Be right back.

If you agreed to get her a drink and speak to her without the drink, she'll remark:

"I just need a mug."

Once you've got her some Dawnstar Ale:

"Well? Did you get me a drink, or are you still useless?"

Dawnstar Ale. Here you go.

"Ahh, a taste of home! Look, do whatever you want. I'm out of here."

If you speak to her again, she'll only say:

"Hey, thanks for the ale! Don't let me catch you around here again, or something."

If you choose to lure Seyran to the bridge, this will result in Cariel killing Seyran as soon as she reaches the bridge, shouting:

Cariel : "That was for Saronor, bitch! Ahem. Search the house I'll get rid of... this."

Cariel will then disappear with Seyran's dead body.

• A little about the Saronor that Cariel kills Scout Seyran over was answered in a Reddit AMA hosted by ZeniMax Online writers (archived on the Imperial Library):

"The Three Banners War is old enough that Cariel saw action in Cyrodiil, and became fast friends with another Bosmer named Saronor. They eventually became romantically involved. I want to leave the details to your imagination, but the last encounter between Cari and Seyran ended up with Cariel's lover dead. Hence, what you see at Pa'alat."
