"Like the old Deep Folk, the Nords seek to dig up the blood of the Reach. We've always known magic sleeps in these stones, but only a fool would break them. Our place is to listen to the song of the earth and the beating of the heart." —Shaman Ulvoch
Entrance to Sanuarach Mine

Sanuarach Mine is an abandoned mine found near Karthwasten. It was originally excavated by the Nords who lived in the village, before the area was reclaimed by the Crow-Eye Clan. The Reachfolk clan chose to leave the mines untouched and it is known that the rare netherroot plants grows within the tunnels. In the deepest parts of the mine, you will find that the mine opens out onto the caverns of Blackreach.

But when a ritual to restore the village's wards failed, evidence will point to something having gone wrong in the depths of Sanuarach Mine. You and Apprentice Fialyn will need to investigate and put things right, namely dealing with the Gray Host and their plot.

Layout[edit]

Your delve begins in a mushroom laden corridor covered in cobwebs. You'll descend into a large chamber riddled with wooden scaffolds and populated by Gray Host vampires. Climbing the scaffolding to the south in the first large room will lead you into a tunnel with a netherroot vine. Two vampires are empowering a gargoyle in the next room. Killing one of the vampires will awaken the gargoyle.

Through the northern tunnel lies a fork in the road: turning left will bring you to a large two-story room with a gargoyle on the upper level. Another gargoyle ritual is taking place in the middle of the staircase. There's a tunnel leading north out of the second floor into a furnished section with wooden walls.
