Souls are being drawn into Oblivion at Rockgrove
A savage band of Sul-Xan Argonians raided the ancient city of Rockgrove. Led by Flame-Herald Bahsei, they plan to summon something named Xalvakka. I must purge the area of these brutes and stop their plan before this creature enters our realm.
<or>
I removed Xalvakka's hideous head as proof of her death. I should bring it to Dust-On-Scales.
<or>
I removed Xalvakka's bloody heart as proof of her destruction. I should bring it to Dust-On-Scales.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Speak to Dust-On-Scales within the Walled Sanctuary base camp of Rockgrove.
  2. Defeat Oaxiltso and enter the xanmeer.
  3. Ascend the xanmeer and confront Flame-Herald Bahsei.
  4. Enter the Oblivion Gate and fight your way to Xalvakka.
  5. Smash the sigil stone to return to Rockgrove and speak to Dust-On-Scales to complete the quest.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

If you defeat Xalvakka without picking up the quest, you can pick up an item from her corpse that will start the quest, allowing you to tell Dust-On-Scales you've done the deed in order to receive your weekly reward. On Normal or Veteran, Xalvakka's Head drops.

<Xalvakka's grotesque head lays lifeless on the ground. I should bring it to Dust-On-Scales as evidence of her death.>
I should bring Xalvakka's head to Dust-On-Scales.

If you completed hard mode on Veteran, you will instead receive Xalvakka's Heart to present to Dust-On-Scales.

<Xalvakka's bloody heart no longer pumps the noxious ichor that once kept her alive. I should bring it to Dust-On-Scales as evidence of her death.>
I should bring Xalvakka's heart to Dust-On-Scales.

Notes
* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
