I met a group of Dark Elves in the Fungal Grotto. They want to reach a shrine within the caves. A tribe of hostile Goblins occupies most of the area, pushing out a colony of dreugh. The two fighting sides block access to the rest of the cave.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Kill the War Chief Ozozai and mount his head on the spike.
  2. Lead the Goblins to drive the dreugh out of the cave.
  3. Defeat the Dreugh King.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Upon entering the Fungal Grotto, you meet Vila Theran. She is very secretive, and the only thing you get to know is that she leads an expedition of Mephala worshippers in search for a sacred shrine. The caves are overrun by goblins and dreugh. Vila Theran asks you to clear the way to the shrine.

The War Chief Ozozai[edit]

First you need to find the War Chief of the goblins. Follow the path inside the cave and kill Tazdak the Packmaster. Then you will enter a bigger cave, where the War Chief is standing on the big rock. After defeating him, take his head and put it on a spike on top of that rock. Now the goblins consider you their leader and will fight at your side. You can open the closed door and move deeper in the Grotto.

Kra'gh the Dreugh King[edit]

Now you should lead the goblins to assault the dreugh. Move along the path, kill as many dreugh as you can find. You will also come across two non-quest-related bosses: Bloodbirther and Clatterclaw. Finally you approach a large grassy field. As you step there, the Kra'gh the Dreugh King will break out of the wall. As soon as you defeat him, Vila Theran and the two members of her expedition will enter the field. "By the Ebony Blade, this is it. We've found the shrine!" She rushes up the hill. Follow her there and speak to her.

"Unbelievable! We've spent years searching for the Spinner's shrine, and these filthy creatures have been sitting right on top of it all along!"
"The caverns are safe, now"
"Yes. You've done as we agreed. Take this for your work.
Now you will leave. Immediately. The secrets of the Spinner's shrine are not for outsiders."

She rewards you with Vila's Recompense and a skill point, completing the Kings of the Grotto quest.

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
