Fight the invaders to free the villagers
Dominion troops invaded Feyne Vildan's village, trapping her husband and the other villagers. Whatever the soldiers are doing in Percolating Mire, they must be stopped.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Speak with Feyne Vildan to the southwest of Percolating Mire.
  2. Fight Dominion troops within Percolating Mire while rescuing six Mire residents.
  3. Free Ja-Reet from the northern hut.
  4. Find Feyne Vildan on the southeast side of town.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Feyne Vildan can be found sitting by a campfire and her diary at the entrance to Percolating Mire. Speak to her to begin the quest:

"Thank the Three, someone who looks like they can handle themselves in a fight!
My husband's in danger. Please, help us!"
What's wrong?
"The Dominion invaded. They trapped my husband, Ja-Reet, along with the other villagers.
I hid and got out past the guards, but I won't leave without my husband!"
How can I help?
"Those soldiers are terrorizing our people. Kill them! Rescue everyone you can, and please look for Ja-Reet.
I don't know what the Dominion's doing here, but they said something about crystals. I'll sneak back in. Meet me near the village center."
I'll do what I can.

Head into the village and look for villagers who are being attacked by Dominion personnel. Some villagers are cowering in front of soldiers, and will be freed when those soldiers are killed. Other villagers are being magically restrained with hovering Binding Crystals: kill the nearby Dominion soldiers, then interact with the crystals to destroy them and free the villagers. After you free the sixth villager, they'll tell you where Ja-Reet is.

Enter Ja-Reet's hut, the largest and northernmost house in the village. You'll see that he's been imprisoned with a Binding Crystal, which is being tended to by a Dominion soldier named Amyril. Kill Amyril and break the crystal. Ja-Reet will stagger out of the hut, struggling to speak.

Exit the hut and find Feyne, who is waiting with Ja-Reet off to the south. Speak with her to complete the quest:

"What did they do to him? What's wrong with my husband?"
Are you both all right?
"Ja-Reet won't talk to me. He ran up and hugged me, but he won't speak to me!
At least we're both alive. We're together again, thanks to you."

Quest Stages[edit]

Into the Mire
Finishes Quest Journal Entry
I should rescue the villagers from Dominion troops and find Feyne Vildan's husband, Ja-Reet.
Objective: Rescue Residents: 0/6
A villager I saved said Ja-Reet is being held in a nearby hut. I must free him by removing any crystals or Dominion soldiers guarding him.
Objective: Rescue Ja-Reet
Finishes quest☑ Ja-Reet ran off as soon as I destroyed the master crystal. He's probably gone to his home near the village center. I should find Feyne Vildan and tell her he's free.
Objective: Talk to Feyne

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
