Dialogue[edit]

Meeting her at the entrance of Rockgrove:

"We do not have many warriors left. Barely enough to hold this section of the city. If the Sul-Xan wanted, they could crush us at any time.
It seems they have what they want. I doubt they even consider us a threat."

If you have the quest A Plea from the Flames:

"Hmm. While I may avert my claws in greetings, I promise they still are sharp.
Come, ojel. Speak. How did you arrive here? Especially at such a time as this.
Malosza sent me to aid your people.
"So he made it to safety? Such sun-blessed news in a gloomy moment. Though, I expected him to send one of our allies.
No matter. You have come and that is what matters. At this point, I should appreciate any help we can get."
What needs to be done?
"Our stone-talker, Dust-on-Scales, claims to know who led this attack. If true, he may have an idea of how to reclaim our home from these impure tail-lifters.
Speak to him. He is tending to one of our wounded. And … I am grateful for your aid."

Talking to her after stopping before completing the quest:

"The news that Malosza made it to safety strengthens my spine, ojel. Though I still feel surprised he did not send a more familiar face.
Perhaps this is how it should be. A stranger coming from the marsh to preserve our home. Yes, this feels correct."

Once you have completed the quest, you can ask her more questions:

"When the sun rose, I told my mate that I could taste toxins on the wind. He dismissed my fears. Then, this happens. I wish he were here for me to gloat.
Dust-on-Scales knows the xanmeer well. His guidance will be invaluable for your efforts."
Malosza said you were one of the guards.
"Guards, warriors, hunters—our tribe sees them as all the same role. But, yes, that is my duty. When I look around, it seems I may be the last one.
I know the claws of my root-kin sunk deep into Sul-Xan scales. They fell to keep the tribe alive."
Tell me more about Rockgrove.
"Rockgrove? You mean Krona-Konu. I forgot that the dryskin tongue enjoys placing its words where they do not belong.
Before this, only the breeze disturbed the grasses. Our tribe watched over the xanmeer and the walls kept us safe."
You never faced attacks before now?
"Not of this severity. We really only trained warriors out of tradition. Mostly they would hunt our food. A great sorrow that we have lost them all to the Sul-Xan.
Perhaps if you manage to drive out these invaders, we shall know peace again."

Once Xalvakka is defeated, she'll appear along with Dust-on-Scales on the Xanmeer Pinnacle:

"I cannot believe the strength you showed. A hundred of our warriors would not have the skill you possess.
I admit that I doubted you. I erect the spine of gratitude for your courage."
