Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Investigate Fragrant Moons Plantation

Speak with Rakhzargo in the center of town, where the fountain is. He says that his mother, Kideya, is looking for new farmhands to help around on the plantation after their previous farmhands left with no warning. You can find his mother north of the fountain, beside a house. Speak with her. She laments the loss of her farmhands, and asks if you could try looking for them. It's strange that they would leave, as there were many of them, and they were all happy. Now, she'd be lucky if half her workforce remained. Kideya notes that the owner of Fragrant Moons Plantation, M'zum, offered to purchase her farm from her after the last harvest. Kideya suspects that he's bribed all her workers to leave.

Before you go Kideya asks you to wake up her eldest son, who is in a cave to the north. Head into the cave, where you'll find Razum-dar. He was asleep when you came in, and is a little peeved that you've woken him up. He's raring to investigate nonetheless. Razum-dar asks that you meet him at Fragrant Moons Plantation to investigate his mother's suspicions regarding M'zum.

Head straight south to reach Fragrant Moons Plantation. Speak with Razum-dar east of the path. He tells you that you need to sneak past the mercenaries who have been hired to protect the plantation. You need to look for ledgers, contracts... pretty much any document that proves M'zum bribed the farmhands. A journal would be a goldmine of information. He also asks that you avoid killing anyone if you can. Your first bit of evidence to investigate is a dead terror bird located behind the M'zum's Mansion. You'll retrieve a Strange Claw from its corpse. It appears that the creature was attacked by something unnatural.

Next, head into the mansion and enter the basement. You'll find M'zum's Ledger on a table to the left of the bed. It seems moon-sugar has been disappearing from M'zum's stores. Finally, head over to the wall to the east of the gate, where a vulture is sitting. Look over the vantage point and you'll observe M'zum and Berani talking about how M'zum's workers don't want to work anymore. They saw something out in the fields that terrified them so badly, they quit. With this information, head north back to Sweetwater Plantation.

Speak with Razum-dar at the base of his house, which has a ladder hanging down the front. He surmises that M'zum and Kideya both share the same problem. He thinks a creature more dangerous than any terror bird could hope to be is prowling the sugar cane fields. Raz suggests that you investigate Honey-Breeze Homestead, another moon-sugar farm in Merryvale. Head south to reach the crossroads, then head west you get back on the main road. This will take you in the direction of Honey-Breeze Homestead. As you begin to cross the bridge, you'll come across a panicked and injured Itzi-da, who screams about a monster attacking the farm. Speak with him. The beast cornered J'dathal and chased his daughters into the field. Raz offers to stay behind to aid the injured farmhand while you save the farmer and his family.

The injured farmer

Once you reach the other side of the bridge, head west and speak with J'dathal beside the cliff in the moon-sugar cane field. He says that he was only able to catch a glimpse of the monster: it was massive, and had a maw full of large teeth. He begs you to rescue his daughters, who were chased west of here, up the path. Pashroni is the closest. Head onto the path west of J'dathal, towards his house on the cliff. Pashroni is hiding behind the house, facing the cliff to the north. Banji is south of Pashroni, and Nurra lies southwest of Banji. Nurra is beside the windmill, on a cliff east of the wasp nests suspended from a stone arch.

Once you've rescued the third sister, she tells you that she heard an Imperial voice commanding the monster. The beast retreated to a cave north of Banji's location. When you enter the cave, you'll see the projection of a man named Saevus Minutius speaking to a Dolor the Boorish, a Daedroth. The man praises the beast for distracting the Khajiit, and orders it to kill you when he sees you. After you've slain Dolor, Raz approaches, astonished to see a Daedroth in his home town.

Talk to Razum-dar. He surmises that the mage you saw talking to the Daedra may be the one responsible for summoning it, and stealing the moon-sugar. While you were dealing with the monster, Raz learned that J'dathal has also been having issues with moon-sugar cane going missing from his farm. Your next course of action is to return to Sweetwater Plantation and enter Kideya's storage cellar. If M'zum and J'dathal have been robbed, it is safe to assume Razum-dar's mother's plantation may be the thief's next target.

Inspect the tapestry

Head to the barn on Sweetwater Plantation and enter the cellar door on the west side of the structure. You'll need to investigate a stack of crates, a barrel and an urn. Kideya enters the cellar after you investigate your first object. After you've inspected all three, Razum-dar will notice an ornate green tapestry on the western wall, which looks out of place considering the drab interior of the cellar. He's never seen the tapestry before, and asks his mother if she hung it. She scoffs and says she didn't as there's nobody but the cellar rats to impress in here. Investigate the tapestry, which you'll find is covering a tunnel. The thieves have been stealing moon-sugar undetected by tunneling into the farmer's storage cellars and stealing their stock.

Head into the tunnel and see if it leads you to your thief. You have the option of speaking to Razum-dar, who has reason to believe the thieves are stealing moon-sugar to make skooma. You'll find yourself in Merryvale Sugar Farm Caves. You don't have to search very far for your first clue, as Patia Cecia is tied up at the end of the first hallway. She doesn't seem all too lucid, and tells you she was tied up by Saevus. As it turns out, Patia is a smuggler. She tells you her gang is making a lot of skooma, and that she tripped into a barrel. That's when she was tied up. Saevus is the leader of the skooma ring operating in these caves.

At this point, you and Raz will split up. He takes the side passage while you investigate the tunnel to the north. Navigate the tunnels and find Saevus Minutius. He is accompanied by another Daedroth, Timtem the Terrible. Defeat them both, head outside and travel east to meet Razum-dar by his mother's house. He rewards you for helping his mother.
