Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Clan Mother Shuzura has told you to help people with their problems, which includes the farmer Ezzag, who've been complaining about crop disappearances recently. You'll find him in the fields, mumbling to himself. You can then ask him what's going on, to which he'll say :

"You've seen the fields here, on the stead? Well, crops keep disappearing in the night. Plants just don't up and walk away!
Shuzura keeps telling Ezzag it's just children playing pranks, but he has lost half his crop this week!"
What can I do?
"It's bandits, damn it! Thugs and hooligans are taking Ezzag's crop.
Head down to the field! Find their hideout, kill their leader. Bring me his head!"
I'll look around.

After telling you he won't need a disgusting severed head as a proof but will stick to your word, you can start the hunt. Go to the fields and find a passage to Old S'ren-ja Cave, which is, indeed, infested by bandits. They use the stolen moon-sugar to make skooma for Rakhad, the last assistant of the Clan Mother. After spreading skooma peddlers' blood, their own leader, Zurana, will approach you to make a deal. You'll have to persuade her or give her some coins :

"You've slaughtered Zurana's men. And now you come looking for her blood, yes?
Perhaps there is another way."
What do you have in mind?
"Rakhad's deal was a good one, but it's not worth Zurana's life. We stole the crops, collected the coin, but now ….
Perhaps you can make her a better offer?"
[Persuade] Even if I don't kill you, keep this up and you'll be dead soon. Go find a new life.
"Perhaps you are right. Yes, yes. Zurana needs to find a new way to make coin.
She will leave, and Rakhad can find his moon-sugar some other way."
Good to hear.
"Get going, walker. Zurana's in no mood to speak to you further."
Take this gold and get out of here. I never want to see you again. [led GoldLeveled Gold Gold]
"Now you are talking sense! Zurana and her men will leave and split your generous donation. Rakhad will have to find some other way of getting his moon-sugar."
Good to hear.
"Get going, walker. Zurana's in no mood to speak to you further."
No deal. Leave or die.
"Hmm... I don't think you understand.
Follow me. Zurana will show you what is really going on."

If you choose the latter, she will guide you through the cave and its skooma installations before attacking you with what's left of her men. You only have to kill them before reporting to Ezzag about the whole situation. He'll not be very patient :

"So? Ezzag was right, right? It was not children?"
You were right, Ezzag. There were bandits stealing your crops.
"Hah! Ezzag knew it. That Shuzura, thinks she is so smart. Did you deal with them? Is their leader lying in a puddle of blood, somewhere?"
Don't worry, they won't bother you again.
"Ha ha! You have made Ezzag's day. No, his week! Ezzag shall name the next barn he raises in your honor."

He then directs you to Kalari or Milk Eyes after giving you a well-earned reward ; alternatively, if you've already resolved all the problems in town, he'll send you to the Clan Mother.

Notes[edit]

  • While the objective description during the objective to enter the cave mentions one bandit having run off towards it, no such thing occurs during the previous objective. All bandits that appear in the field attack you and must be defeated to completed the previous objective.

Bugs[edit]

  • Zurana's talk prompt is difficult to use due to her being positioned right in front of the usable doors leading further into the cave. To get the talk prompt to appear, you must aim towards the ground at her feet. (Both 1st and 3rd person) ?

Notes
* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
