"My husband's a little hard of hearing. Not quite in touch with reality either. He thinks he killed that scamp, but it was actually our cat.
Bless his heart though, he certainly means well. Just play along if you will."

You live on the farm?

"Oh yes. Lived here all our lives. Our daughter Ingride took over the farm a few years ago. Between you and me, she does a better job.
Then our granddaughter Rozenn lives here, and our other grandchildren Phinis and Marlene are visiting."

Aren't you worried about them?

"Oh, you're so young. You must not have children of your own.
Older parents eventually realize that you just can't afford to spend all your time worried about the kids and the grandkids. I have enough to worry about with Giraud."

After Rozenn's Dream is completed:

"Was that Ingride and Rozenn's voices I heard out there? I'm glad they're safe.
We'll come down and join them by and by, but Giraud's been having so much fun, I'd hate to spoil it. He'll get tired soon."
