Very thorough discription, but will it apply to everyone who runs the mission? Most of the monsters and loot are scaled based on your level, right?

Indeed this is the case. Odds are that every specific loot drop mentioned will be random, though the monsters seem to be fixed in type, only varying in toughness. -- EndarethTalk 19:35, 10 May 2006 (EDT)

Reward Dispute[edit]

At level 39 my character was still only rewarded with 3 Strong Potions (Strong Poison of Paralysis), so perhaps the type of Potion plays into the leveled reward as well. -preceeding unaccredited comment by GreyElf

I can confirm this, at level 43 I only received 3 Strong Potions as well (Disbelief). So I guess we need to figure out how this is working. Personally, I felt this was one of, if not the, worst reward I've gotten for any quest. After I was "rewarded" I picked Lithnilian's pockets, suprisingly the old man had almost 400 Gold on him which made for a nice alternative reward. A 25 cent tip, pfftt, Justice served. --AlbinoMudcrab 01:48, 12 August 2006 (EDT)
The current table is correct based on the CS: it says you should receive 3 counts of a levelled potion list that rewards 3 strong potions after level 25 for a total of 9. However, I have never received more than 3 potions as a reward for this quest with several characters, so perhaps in application this is not correct. Perhaps someone can test this thoroughly? --Actreal 02:18, 12 August 2006 (EDT)
Actually, I think the problem might be that you get three potions of three different kinds, rather than nine identical potions. I just did it with a level 10 character, dumped all my potions before talking to Lithlilian, and came away with 3 poisons of weariness and 3 potions of magicka. Also, the message that appears on the screen seems to be incorrect, because it only mentioned the 3 potions of magicka. So you need to check your inventory (and be sure of what was there beforehand) to know everything you were given. --Nephele 02:29, 12 August 2006 (EDT)

I also received 3 strong potions...level 37. I am going to make the change. 173.174.212.164 22:32, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Notes[edit]

I'm trying to roleplay and have Rosethorn hall set up as my own library with all the rare books in the game. I was wondering, if he's killed before you give him the notes, do they stop being quest items? 24.233.128.66 13:44, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

No, the notes will remain a quest item despite anything you may do. --Timenn-<talk> 17:51, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
