Lion Hide[edit]

Don't you mean Lion Pelt? --Robert Smith 19:14, 19 May 2007 (EDT)

Yep, it's supposed to be Lion Pelt (and has now been fixed). The mixup probably occurred because the internal editor ID for the item is "LionHide01", but what matters is what you see while playing the game, and that's definitely "Lion Pelt". --NepheleTalk 19:36, 19 May 2007 (EDT)

The article states that Found on lions. Due to a bug, these are invisible when placed on the ground. However, in every version of oblivion I have played, I never experienced the glitch. Again, as always, I could be delusional, and wrong... but i don't think so :P. --Scxe 23:23, 25 February 2008 (EST)

I definitely can't see Lion Pelts when I drop them. It's a bug that is marked as being fixed in the Unofficial Oblivion Patch, which I don't currently have installed. Do you have that running? –RpehTCE 03:27, 26 February 2008 (EST)
Ah. I'm delusional. Or wrong. I can't see them! :( --Scxe 04:09, 26 February 2008 (EST)
I'm playing on the Xbox and I can definitely see them. — Unsigned comment by 24.174.163.173 (talk) on 23 September 2008
I'm playing with the shivering isles version and I can see them if I drop a pelt. AlphaOmega 18:35, 19 March 2009 (EDT)
If that's the case then the bug is probably fixed by the Shivering Isles patch (1.2.0.46.... something) --SerCenKing 03:58, 20 March 2009 (EDT)
PS3 GotY version can see, it might be visible because of shivering isles but can't' be sure for now Mikeyboy52 21:27, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
I run the non-GotY xbox version with no expansion whatsoever and lion pelts appear just fine. Shadowrose6663 00:11, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
xbox 360 with shivering and knights of the nine, I can see them Anastasia0812 22:13, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

If this is a bug fixed by UOP, shouldn't it be marked with the "This bug is fixed by" template? - poikins 02:34, 8 December 2013 (GMT)

decorative cheeses.[edit]

i just need to know if those respawn,as i found them very decorative and can't duplicate them due to their "stolen" flag. so i would like to know (if they don't respawn) a way to get more without using a fence.J'ri-dar 21:15, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

I don't think they respawn as they aren't food items, and just out of interest.. Why would you want to display cheeses? :P--VergilSparda 20:48, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

you're kidding me,right?these cheese are beautiful!i could decorate all my houses with only cheeses.anyway, last time i went back to border watch, only one or two special cheeses had respawn... J'ri-dar 15:24, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

Ahhh Okay o_O Well some of the cheeses are actually food, so maybe it was the food cheeses that respawned :)--VergilSparda 20:52, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

actually these were blue chese and marble cheese... J'ri-dar 21:24, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

Hmm... Well, Maybe they Do respawn? xD--VergilSparda 21:25, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
No, they don't. All except the cheese wedges are not "edible" and so they shouldn't respawn.--Corevette789 21:33, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

Well,if it doesn't respawn,i'm gonna duplicate these and post a video on youtube where sheogorath repeatedly says "cheese for everyone" with cheeses raining around.there is always a cool solution to all our matters.this way i'll get all my precious cheeses J'ri-dar 07:16, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

I'd say the best way would be to use a fence. It costs a little bit of coin, but you only have to do it once. — Unsigned comment by Shadowrose6663 (talkcontribs) at 01:12 on 21 May 2011
You can't sell them to a fence. They have zero value. Legoless 00:20, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

rolled up portrait glitch, PS3[edit]

I could not get rid of Quill-Weave's stolen portrait for some reason. What should I do? — Unsigned comment by 70.96.164.239 (talk) on 9 May 2010

wait wat? the portraits for the chorrol investigator quest — Unsigned comment by 69.19.14.21 (talk) at 23:23 on March 15, 2011
Right. As the article says: Rolled Up Portrait; This is the stolen painting you are tasked to find during the Chorrol quest Canvas the Castle. --DKong27 Talk Cont 13:05, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

Gold Amount[edit]

How much gold is obtainable on the X-Box 360, without using cheats? — Unsigned comment by 68.98.174.8 (talk) at 23:00 on 1 July 2010

Given that monsters respawn, there's no limit on the amount of gold you can acquire just by selling all of their loot. Typical amounts by the end of a long game can be in the hundreds of thousands. Robin Hoodtalk 19:10, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

torches[edit]

did anyone else notice that the torches carried by the priests of arkay (see quest of namira) do not stack with other torches? do they have any special abilities? 83.79.98.195 10:45, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Not really. They're used in Namira's quest. When one of the normal torches is extinguished, it gets removed from the priest's inventory and one of the special (dead) ones gets added. rpeh •TCE 11:22, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Bouquet of flowers[edit]

I'm trying to get enough bouquets to mark the graves of the original knights of the nine, but the three added in the Chapel of Stendarr, around the Gauntlets cannot be duplicated, I assume due to the fact that they were either added by a mod, or by a mod on the disc that came with my copy of Oblivion. Either way, where might i find more, unowned bouquets, and can ANY of them be duplicated? — Unsigned comment by 67.142.174.23 (talk) at 10:11 on 11 September 2010

Try Cheydinhal. There are 11 in Cheydinhal in total. Most (all?) are owned, but the Chapel Undercroft has 4 that I believe you should be able to take once you've started KotN. Robin Hoodtalk 18:51, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
There's also a couple in the Trentius Family Mausoleum which you can grab during the Unfriendly Competition quest. — Unsigned comment by 69.249.101.138 (talk) at 10:39 on February 22, 2011

Stone Brick/Paint Brushes[edit]

The stone bricks you find around modren oreyn's house float like paint brushes and if you drop them, go in a building and wait a day they fall. Just wanted to point that out — Unsigned comment by 68.171.235.241 (talk) at 02:27 on 25 October 2010

If they were, they were fixed when the paint brushes were, as they work like normal objects for me. Robin Hoodtalk 10:50, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
I'm running the xbox version vanilla and they dont float for me either. Shadowrose6663 00:18, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

Septim or drake[edit]

Is the exchange rates of septim to drake 3 to 20 as seen in the skooma page(Vvardfell 07:48, 7 November 2010 (UTC))

What on earth are you talking about??? Septim and Drake are two names for the same thing - the standard coin of Tamriel. And what Skooma page claims different? rpeh •TCE 10:38, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Then why in the skooma page , say that it's price is 75 septims or 500 drakes, and the price of anything in morrowind which use drake is higher(Vvardfell 11:19, 7 November 2010 (UTC))
Because those are the prices in those games. In Morrowind, the inhabitants use "Drake" because most of them are anti-imperial and don't like to be reminded of their rules. In Cyrodiil, they're proud of it so call them "Septims". In future, please ask questions on the relevant talk page - you're asking about information on a page in a different namespace! "The skooma page" here means Oblivion:Skooma. rpeh •TCE 11:30, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

broom[edit]

When trying to duplicate the larger broom (listed here as 0002500F), my game refuses to acknowledge that there is such an item. The smaller broom (00019113) duplicates normally, but I don't like that one as much. I downloaded the Construction Set to try and get the code directly from that, but when I try to load it, it says I'm running a higher version of Oblivion than the program can load. So is this a matter of version clashes? And is there an updated version of the CS I can download anywhere? I want my broom! — Unsigned comment by 69.249.101.138 (talk) on 22 February 2011

Fixed - it's 250ff, not 2500f. You need to download the latest version of the CS. It's available from here somewhere. rpeh •TCE 15:54, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Thank you! — Unsigned comment by 69.249.101.138 (talk) on 22 February 2011

Strange switches in oblivion.[edit]

Hello my oblivion is not working every time i press a switch it not work making me stuck in ruins can anyone help me fix this? — Unsigned comment by 70.238.203.5 (talk) at 01:39 on 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Though this isn't the right place for this, this kind of sounds like an A-bomb. However unless you are on the PC there is nothing you can do about it. Though I believe it might help another editor or myself diagnose your problem if you used proper grammar and were more descriptive. --AKB Talk Contribs Email 01:39, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Skulls and bones of different sizes.[edit]

I had this nifty idea of collecting a variety of skulls and bones to further decorate Deepscorn Hollow, and I began to notice that sometimes the skulls and bones (but mostly the skulls) would vary in size. The variation was mostly "Normal" and "Bigger Than Normal", as I have yet to see a "Smaller Than Normal" sized variant. Anyway, I collect them all, and they all stack in the same spot in my inventory, respectively (skulls on skulls, femurs on femurs, etc), and when I saw that my inventory didn't create separate stacks based on separate sizes, I started dropping them all to make sure they somehow hadn't all been resized to one uniform size. They hadn't, and I picked them all up again. Real Life called me away, so I had to stop and save my game, and when I came back and started dropping bones in the Hollow, I found that the game had, indeed, resized all of them to one uniform size.

Is it a bug that I find these skulls and bones in sizes larger or smaller than normal in the first place? Or is it a bug that causes them all to "equalize" in my inventory if I were to save and quit and come back, or even load a new area? Predcon 21:28, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Changing size is a simple matter of changing the scale ratio of the reference object from the base object. I tested this by placing 3 skulls, with ratios of 1, 2.1, and 3. I picked them all up, and dropped them one at a time. Then I reloaded and did the same. Then I exited game completely, then reloaded. Last I dropped all 3 skulls at once. In all cases they all kept their original sizes. --DKong27 Talk Cont 22:27, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
I think if you drop scaled items more than once, they change to the default size. Legoless 22:29, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

I believe the finger of the mountain book[edit]

Weighs two but is worth 0 gold. At least that's what it says on the page. It appears backwards on this page atm. dtm 16:41, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Fixed it after checking in the CS. --DKong27 Talk Cont 16:51, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Argonian heart(s)[edit]

so there are only two in the game right? well i used the duplication glitch on it and like normal items, it worked. could it be some sort of glitch/bug? or are there more argonian hearts in cyrodill? — Unsigned comment by Anastasia0812 (talkcontribs) at 01:12 on 3 February 2012

You're right that there are only the two hearts in the game, but I'm confused by the fact that you think using the duplication glitch on the heart is in itself a glitch. Why shouldn't it work? Robin Hoodtalk 02:16, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
it's like with nirnroots, you can't duplicate them because there is a limited quantity, the same goes for Umbra or any other item that only has 1 in existence. So why can you duplicate them if there are only 2 in existence? DragonWolf 18:39, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
The different duplication glitches appear to succeed or fail on different items, so it may depend on which method you used. In any event, a glitch, by definition, is something that's not intended behaviour in the first place, so it may not behave logically. Robin Hoodtalk 19:43, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Empty Hist Bottle[edit]

I found one of these in the back cave on a table in the Infested Mine. Can anyone else confirm, and should it be added to the page?173.168.133.71 22:48, 1 May 2013 (GMT)

It is already on the page. You can find it here. Jeancey (talk) 23:03, 1 May 2013 (GMT)

Bad bone[edit]

What is being called a clavicle (collar bone,) should be called a scapula (shoulder blade.) — Unsigned comment by Chicken Slayer (talkcontribs) at 01:29 on 24 May 2015
