Oblivion talk:Geimund

Hi! Does any of you know about the following bug? So I just finished the Kot9 mod. I got back to the priory and there were a few people waiting for me. I told Geimund's brother that they coud join the order. They went inside to change into uniform, but on the way I told Geimund to follow me. Now I can't get him off my back. Is there any way to get rid of him the easy way? Is there a console command to fix this? Thx - Villy from Hungary

Never mind, I found a solution... sort of. At least it's better than the temporary solution on Oblivion:Gukimir. I disabled the mod, loaded, and re-saved a game, re-enabled the mod, and I'm about to replay the mission. It seems to work so far. It has no effect on the rest of the game, and the other missions. Minor Edit...[edit]

Hi! I'm changing Areldur to Geimund in the notes section like I did with Brellin.--Arch-Mage Matt 22:00, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Geimund and Gukimir bugged?[edit]

Hey,

This happened for the first time for me, basically I was doing KoTN quests and at some point, after I had found 4 items (helmet, cuirass, gauntlets and boots), when I stepped outside of Priory I saw those 2 sitting on their horses about 20 steps away from Priory door. However, they don't budge from there and when I speak with them, they just offer the "Rumors" talk, nothing else. They're not moving, not asking to join the Knights, nothing. If I use console to move them around (moveto player for example) they they just slowly ride back to that spot and that's it. I've killed their horses (through console) but then they just stand on same spots. I've disabled them, enabled, killed and resurrected but that does nothing. What the heck do they want or are expecting there? First time this happens and I've played though KoTN many times.. Weird. — Unsigned comment by 193.9.13.134 (talk) on 24 August 2009

This just happened to me also, any fix? 24.90.239.195 17:33, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
If you're on the PC, try this. Click on Geimund (or use prid xx002687 - see this to get the correct values for the xx) and type set JoinedOrder to 1 then evp. Then click on his brother (or prid xx002686) and type evp again. That might work. I don't know why it wouldn't be working properly in the first place though. rpeh •TCE 18:08, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
Confirmed the bug by reloading an earlier save. It occurs as stated above; after the first recruit triggers the brothers' arrival, they are stuck standing around the same spot with no normal dialogue options. Console commands suggested by rpeh seem to fix the problem (thanks!). 24.90.239.195 20:06, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

I got this bug, too. I've got the Unique Landscapes mod, and I'm wondering if that might have something to do with it, since this was apparently an unknown bug (maybe a pathfinding issue, if they're supposed to get off their horses at a specific spot and don't have their quest-related dialogue until then or something). I've noticed it causing some more minor bugs elsewhere. Either way, the above fix worked for me as well. -MuddlingThrough 23:43, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

Traveling Horse[edit]

Um, on xbox 360 i was playing and the Geimund following glitch occurred. It all seemed normal, until I noticed that two horses followed him around. One, which was a chestnut horse, was mine and the other black horse was his. When I fast traveled into choroll the horses ended up in chroll. Can anybody confirm this I have a video of it. Give me a link to the video. --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 20:39, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

I think the fact there is a video confirms it, whether it is repeatable or not is the question - Emoboy64 22:01, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
The problem is, it was my friends game file and i have no idea what he did, all I know is it wasn't intentional. - Disbala 22:07, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
Weird... Can you test with the other Knights? --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 22:09, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
It'll be a little while until I can get my hands on his save file, but i'll see. - Disbala 22:12, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
Wait! If I provide the save file, can someone look in the construction set to see what made this happen? Disbala 03:07, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Geimund Bug on PS3 GOTY Edition[edit]

This has been marked as a question that needs to be answered.

I recently bought Oblivion to try it out before Skyrim and of course I have come across several bugs. I have found a working solution to the Geimund Bug. After completing the NOTN quest I spoke to Geimund and I got stuck with him following me around. He's quite a pain because he will interfere if your a vampire or trying to do any sneak quests. So I stumbled across 2 fixes and 1 has worked once and the 2nd both times. The first solution is to slip a poison apple into his pocket and at some point he will eat it and die. This solution worked the first time for me, I didn't try it again because the second solution is better in my opinion. The second solution is to get your bounty up high enough, I think mine was 16k, by killing guards. I did this in Bravil twice. Geimund joined the guards because at this point in the game he should probably hate you anyways. I killed enough guards and fled with the high bounty and Geimund stopped following me from that point on. He remained for the rest of the game at the castle with the short little fat knight outside the castle door. This has worked both times for me and on different characters. This is again for the PS3 GOTY edition. I hope this helps. — Unsigned comment by 75.176.155.136 (talk) on 30 March 2012

Can anyone confirm this? Does this need to be added to the page? eshetalk 19:59, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
