Statues[edit]

Does anyone know about the two staues in the Arena district. I figurd one of them might be Gaiden Shinji; the other could be Alessia. I don't know- does anyone else?--Wangpangu 00:22, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

I don't think they're anybody. In the CS, the statues are called StatueImperial02 (the female) and StatueImperial03 (the male). Compare that to the ones in the Arboretum, which have names like StatueGodsZenithar01 and StatueGodsJulianos01. –rpehTCE 17:21, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
According to the Prima Official Guide, the statues represent Morihaus the Fighter and Saint Alessia. The statues have both wrist irons, St. Alessia at the ankles, because she was a slave under the rule of ancient Ayleids and Morihaus that led her army in the 1E 243. Rev3rsix 14:48, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
Hmm. That's definitely what it says but I'm not sure it's correct. Morihaus took the form of a bull. rpeh •TCE 15:23, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
Yes, he took that form, but even that statue have the wrists, so it can only represents Morihaus. The Guide says Morihaus, so I thought the doubt was solved... Rev3rsix 20:32, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
I'm sorry but what does "even that statue have the wrists" mean? rpeh •TCE 09:44, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
The Wrist Irons in his left hand...sorry... I also noticed that the statue points the finger exactly at the white gold tower. If he's not Morihaus... Rev3rsix 12:55, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

bedroll[edit]

No, these two bedrolls are used by both sparring partners. --Timenn-<talk> 21:06, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Nonsolid roofs[edit]

I'm not sure if it should be mentioned, but at least one of the covered areas (where the two NPCs spar) has a nonsolid roof. With a good acrobatics it is possible to jump to where the roof is from the Arena building, but you fall right through. It's also possible to get stuck in a pillar via jumping through the roof because they have no solid cap. Luckily you can also fasttravel from the location to get out. --70.17.38.80 22:15, 22 July 2010 (UTC) (aka danopia)

There are a lot of jump-through roofs in Oblivion, especially in the Imperial City. Most of them appears where "you are not supposed to go" and if we should list all of them we could easily fill up the District pages. Like you said, it is really not worth doing. --Krusty 10:19, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Becoming Trapped?[edit]

(moved from the article)

Beware entering the Captain's Quarters, as you may become trapped in the Barracks wall when attempting to exit. To free yourself, you may need to get caught trespassing by the guards, or load a previous save.

I don't understand this. How can you become trapped? Where? More details, please. rpeh •TCE 09:33, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Pretty simple, the issue seems to arise from the coordinates the player is set to appear at when traversing the door from and occasionally to the captains quarters. Exit back out from out of the captains quarters in the NE tower via the the trapdoor (only door), when the barracks room loads, you materialize in the wall, or, jammed between a nearby bed and the wall below the ladder up to the captains quarters, and too far from the next trapdoor down. You can only go back up to the captains quarters at this point, which when exited, again deposits you once again in the same trapped position below the ladder with the next trapdoor down still out of reach. Rinse, repeat, bang head for not having a recent save. I take it you must have either never ventured into Audens Avidius' room in the NE tower or this may only be a problem on the Xbox. I hadn't been playing oblivion for a while and just started to play it again, but I can tell you this happened way back during my first play through of oblivion as well. I had forgotten about it, lucky me. I have found one other solution recently. Besides getting arrested or reloading, if you are carrying enough junk and I mean a lot, and if you drop enough items in a pile at your feet(specifically), you might(might not will), gain traction to jump out of the confinement at/in the wall with a high enough acrobatics skill. By that point the guards usually notice you trespassing anyway, whether you're freed or not.

All that seemed a little wordy. Hence, "Beware...[or you might be somewhat screwed]". It seemed important to note somewhere, as the game creates the entrapment as a result of simply passing through a loading point and not some bumbling on the player's part. Since the NE Watchtower doesn't have a dedicated article of its own, the NE tower listing on the city district pages are currently the only places to note the problem.

If this still didn't provide a clear enough picture of what happens, fast travel on over to the market district and shoot up to the top floor of the NE Watchtower. On your way out you cant miss it:) Oh, for the fun of it, I rechecked the other towers, its just the NE one. 74.77.129.70 09:25, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

It doesn't happen. Sorry. rpeh •TCE 09:49, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Not saying your wrong. What platform/version do you play? This has been noted before in the talk pages by some one else. It may be a conditional occurrence. I first experienced it way back playing the 360 collectors edition point release. In this particular occurrence it came on a 360 Slim, GOTY edition, current patch. Both cases stood out as replicable. Which was my reason for posting the issue. I hadn't intended to press this, just provide some info to avoid a possibly game damaging circumstance as not everyone reads talk pages. 74.77.129.70 16:16, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
