Wait Option?[edit]

Does this guy have a wait option? And will he help me fight? — Unsigned comment by 75.34.26.209 (talk) at 19:22 on 12 October 2009

Unfortunately, it's a 'no' on both accounts. If you approach him he will only say "I am beaten. Leave me alone" with no further dialogue options, and if you get attacked he will flee. --Krusty 11:17, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Permenant Corpse?[edit]

The article says that he has a permenant corpse, but I remember when I visited the house again, his body was gone.--Arch-Mage MattTalk 02:21, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

He is definitely in the Oblivion-Permanent Corpses category. Are you sure he died in the house? Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 22:26, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Bugs?[edit]

taken from the article:

When cheching his inventory it is possible to see him that he as both his Blackwood Company cuirass and his Burgandy outfit equiped. He will only appear to be wearing his Burgandy outfit.

Can anybody confirm this phenomenon in-game? --Krusty 11:41, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Yes, I just finished that quest and came here to find out if it was a glitch. I disagree about the appearance though. When I looted him, he didn't have that yellow/gold shirt that is displayed on his page. It looked to me like the game was rendering the cuirass underneath the overcoat. Was hoping there was a way for my character to do it. Playing on 360 with all addons except horse armor and spell books.70.24.4.231 14:58, 6 June 2010 (UTC)Dr.Anon

I can also confirm that. I've seen it on vampires too... --Arch-Mage MattTalk 16:53, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
I've seen that on mages with a cuirass in there inventory, both the robes and cuirass show up in that case Mikeyboy52 16:57, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Surviving his scripted suicide?[edit]

If the player uses a Damage Fatigue spell to damage Ajum-Kajin and steal the Blackwood Ring of Silence, does he still die at the scripted moment? Is there any way to keep Ajum-Kajin alive, whether or not he reveals the source of Blackwood's strength? 68.144.1.163 20:22, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

It's theoretically possible, I suppose... but you'd need to be incredibly lucky. The ring is only added to Ajum-Kajin's inventory when he delivers the line "Forgive me, my master.... It is Ri'Zikar! He leads us! And he will have your head. He will kill you all!" then his always-running script equips it. You'd somehow need to pick his pocket between the two, which would give you a tiny fraction of a second. rpeh •TCE 20:36, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Second idea: Can he survive by healing himself or is it a scripted death. At either really high levels or really low levels, could he heal himself? I saw him heal himself a few times before dying the last time I did his quest.--Catmaniac66 15:39, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
As rpeh said above, once he equips the ring you can't pickpocket it from him. As the ring does continuous damage, he would eventually die once he runs out of magicka - if he even has a healing spell, which is randomised. So his death isn't scripted as such, but he won't survive from healing spells as you've seen for yourself. Legoless 16:23, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Ah, the reason I was asking is that it appeared to be a 1 time effect, so if you got lucky he might bave been able to outheal that. Thanks for the answer!--Catmaniac66 17:15, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
I made a special 10 second spell, Resist Magic 100, Fire Shield 100, Restore Health 100, and reverse pickpocketed weighless shirt, pants, and hood enchanted with Sigil Stone Resist Fire. He equipped the hood but not the shirt and pants. I cast the spell, then started the last interrogation. He said the last line and put on the ring, then I cast a different Legendary Restore Friend. He lasted about 12 seconds. On the PC you have to be standing to question him. By the time you can crouch to try and pickpocket the ring, he has already put it on. Just tried one more idea, I got the Truncheon of Submission, drained my Strenth and Blunt and then hit him until he passed out before the last two questions. I brought his disposition back up as soon as he sat back up and asked the final questions. I used the Truncheon to make him fall down before he put the ring on and then was able to pickpocket it. He just sits there and the quest with Modryn will not progress until he dies. GRPeng 01:37, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
