Zone 1: Quickwater Cave[edit]

Quickwater Cave

Quickwater Cave is a fairly unremarkable cave which contains a large number of enemies compared to the amount of available loot. Upon entering the cave, you may wish to proceed straight ahead and skip the passage to the right as it leads only to a large dead-end room with two enemies and no loot. The remaining enemies in the cave are worth fighting, as they are guarding the sparse amount of treasure which does exist. There are two partially submerged rooms in this zone: the hallway before door C, leading to the next zone, Quickwater Sump, and the small dead-end room that contains neither loot nor enemies. There is no loot to be found in these underwater sections, and water breathing is not required.

Occupants:

  • 7-9 Monster Enemies (each 80% probability Monster, 20% Rat)

Treasure:

Doors and Gates:

  • There are two doors in/out of this zone

Zone 2: Quickwater Sump[edit]

Quickwater Sump

The primary feature of this zone is the minor loot chest in the second room, which is floating at the surface of the water near the room's ceiling. This zone has water in all its rooms; the first room has the least, up to about chest level, but all the other rooms are almost completely filled. Water-breathing is beneficial but by no means required, since each room has a substantial air pocket near the ceiling, and you can easily travel from one air pocket to another without running out of air. There is no loot to be found underwater, only Cairn Boletes and slaughterfish, so once you have emptied the single minor loot chest there is little reason to continue exploring.
