The Battlehorn Castle Men-At-Arms are added by the Fighter's Stronghold plug-in. They can be commanded to follow the player. They all wear a full set of steel armor (except the Castellan who does not have a helmet) and a Shield Of True Horn. The Men-At-Arms are armed with a leveled sword and bow (both up to Ebony, always of the best quality) with silver arrows. If killed, they respawn in three days. All Battlehorn Castle Men-At-Arms and the Castellan know a leveled Knight major Illusion spell, but will never be able to cast it due to a bug.

Commands[edit]

The men-at-arms can be given the following commands:

  • Follow me: The men-at-arms follow the player until the next order is given or until they die. They can corpse-check.
  • Wait here until I return: The men-at-arms will stay in this spot until the next order is given or they die. They can wander and will run away to attack hostile creatures or NPCs.
  • Return to your duties: The men-at-arms will stop following you, return to the Castle, and resume their normal AI.

Notes[edit]

  • The game permits you to have only one Battlehorn follower at any given time. For instance, if you have Battlehorn man-at-arms character following you and then ask Castellan Athon to follow you, the original man-at-arms will resume his usual duties.

Bugs[edit]

  • If you ask the Redguard man-at-arms to 'wait here until I return', you can talk with him about 'rumors'. (All the other men-at-arms immediately end the conversation instead.)
  • The Men-at-Arms possesses the standard knight spells list containing one major Illusion spell, despite not having Illusion as a major skill due to their Marauder class. As a result of this and the NPC skill leveling mechanism, they will only ever be able to cast novice Illusion spells. However, the Illusion spells in their list are of at least apprentice level, meaning they will never be able to cast any.
