Increasing skill[edit]

Sorry if I'm breaking any rules by asking this question, but I don't want to waste my time. I've had some fun with console, and as my character (Breton Custom class Apprentice) I'm no good with a blade. I tried set long blade skill 100 (as long blade is in my major skills) and this is quite fun. But what I want to know is if I set skill to higher than it is (let say 70) and progress though the game, will my long blade skill still increase? I'm really struggling at the moment without console, so an answer to this will be nice. Thanks UESP

As it says in the table, each successful attack adds 1% to the next skill level. --Brf 20:36, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

Wrong Stats?[edit]

I'm not sure where someone got the damage stats for the silver longsword, but according to my game they're different. I know it says "base stats", but the other non-enchanted, non-unique longswords I have match up with the damage listings on the page so I assume these are just wrong. I'm going to make a change, so I'll leave this here as a note. Deus Gladiorum (talk) 02:08, 17 April 2013 (GMT)

You are right, the stats were wrong. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 02:23, 17 April 2013 (GMT)

Alt text[edit]

This and many other tables (e.g. for Marksman weapons but not their ammo) are missing alt text that explains what the icons mean when you hover over them. The ones that don't have this just say "sort ascending" when you hover over them. I would fix this, but I'm not sure what the heart column is meant to indicate, since it's not damage. At a guess, I think it's the amount of damage the item itself can sustain before being ruined; not sure what is the best one- or two-word ecapsulation of that for the mouse-over tooltip. — Darklocq  ¢ 00:55, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

It does represent item health, which can be written just as "Health" as it is on the artifact pages. I can't see anywhere that explains how that translates into its condition, or more specifically how many uses it has until it breaks, like the Oblivion Weapons page has. Foeburner cursed item[edit]

On this page Foeburner is marked as sometimes cursed, but it doesn't appear on the Cursed Items page. So, is there a cursed Foeburner in the game or not? El-Nordren (talk) 22:10, 18 June 2023 (UTC)

The mark for Foeburner wasn't meant to refer to it as sometimes cursed. There is a different note explaining that it was likely meant to be an enchanted item. The transcluded page had <noinclude> around the note, preventing it from showing up. I've moved the <noinclude> and the note should appear properly on this page now. — Wolfborn(Howl) 22:24, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
