Locations[edit]

Is it possible to get a list of locations for crossbows? (where they are sold/found etc) Would be really helpful. thanks. :) — Unsigned comment by 71.157.170.33 (talk) at 01:46 on 5 June 2009‎

Careful![edit]

Be careful when dropping Bolts onto the ground. It could be difficult to find them again. --Zander490 15:55, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

IDs[edit]

Crossbow item IDs are not working in console. Is this due to official plug-ins? Typing "placeatpc dwarven crossbow,1,1,1" doesn't work, and adding _ between dwarven and crossbow doesn't work either. Gives not found error. Help?— Unsigned comment by 70.160.30.6 (talk) at 03:15 on 1 November 2011

Any time an ID contains spaces, you need to put quotes around the entire name, e.g., placeatpc "dwarven crossbow",1,1,1. --NepheleTalk 03:15, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Where Does the Bolt Fly?[edit]

I suppose this is an odd question for an experienced player, but I simply never bothered with crossbows before: Does anyone know of a description or discussion of where the bolt of a crossbow flies at close range? I have no trouble hitting close-approaching creatures with an arrow, but now that I'm trying a crossbow, (Dwarven), I never hit them, and I seem to have no opportunity to view their flight paths. I need a target range, so I can sight-in my weapon! Downstrike (talk) 05:10, 19 March 2013 (GMT)

I eventually determined that I need to aim the crossbow itself, rather than the crosshair at point blank range, and a compromise between the 2 at close range. I'm adding a Notes section for this. If there is a better location for this info, or a location where it's already provided, I'd like to know. Downstrike (talk) 22:54, 21 March 2013 (GMT)
