Lord of the Rings Reference[edit]

The story of Rajhin is reminiscent of the story of Isildur from The Lord of the Rings. Isildur took the Ring from the Dark Lord Sauron after defeating him, and claimed it for himself. The One Ring rendered mortal wearers invisible. When using the Ring to escape an army of Orcs, the Ring abandoned Isildur, leaving him exposed and leading to his death. — Unsigned comment by 173.23.16.115 (talk) at 21:35 on 8 November 2017‎

The burglar part ties it even more to the story, but regardless, it would be for the Arena:Easter Eggs page. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 23:15, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

The one canonically destroyed?[edit]

Since the Main Quest for Oblivion requires one of the Daedric artifacts in that game to be sacrificed, that obviously means that one of that had to be gone for good. Since the Ring of Khajiiti is the only artifact in Oblivion not to appear in Skyrim (other than Goldbrand, though that is said to have been used by Emperor Titus Mede), does this mean that the Ring was the one that got destroyed? 24.167.243.225 17:55, 9 February 2018 (UTC)

No. A lack of evidence against a statement is not the same as evidence for. There is nothing to say that the ring was the item destroyed, therefore saying so is just speculation. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 19:23, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
Something else to note is that the ritual did not permanently destroy the artifacts. To quote Martin Septim in Oblivion "Remember, the ritual will consume its physical form. It won't be seen again on Tamriel for many years." so regardless of the artifact destroyed it would end up returning anyway, the lack of the Ring in Skyrim does not prove it was the one used in the ritual.
