His Arrest[edit]

I know that he was tried for murder, put on the ship, and put in Vivec Jail. My question is: If the Nerevarine was taken from Cyrodill to Morrowind, and Jiub was on the ship, why would Jiub be travelling from Cyrodill to Morrowind, on the ship, if he is not found in Vivec Jail during the game? As it says in the article, Jiub was freed when he reached Seyda Neen with the Nerevarine. His time in Vivec's prison occurred before the events in-game. --Nocte|Chat|Look 13:01, 10 August 2013 (GMT)
Yes, but if he was living in Kvatch at the time, it makes absoloutely NO sense why he went from Cyrodiil to Seyda Neen then back to Cyrodiil for no reason at all. Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 14:28, 10 August 2013 (GMT)
He did not live in Kvarch until after his imprisonment. Please read the article fully before asking additional questions, as this discussion is moving toward a forum-like status. --Nocte|Chat|Look 14:36, 10 August 2013 (GMT)
No, it says Nerevar and Jiub were freed in Seyda Neen, what I don't get was if he is freed in Seyda Neen, why would he go there with Nerevar? Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 14:46, 10 August 2013 (GMT)

() All of the information we have is on the article. At this point, anything else is merely guesswork and supposition. As such, any further discussion on this ironic should be taken to the forums. Thank you. --Nocte|Chat|Look 14:56, 10 August 2013 (GMT)

He went to Kvatch to write his memoirs, so that must have happened after his cliff racer extermination. As a skooma addict and thug-for-hire, he had no reason to search for "peace and quiet" and to write his life's story. There probably was a mix-up in the dialog response, because it seems to mix up imprisonment in the imperial jail for the botched crime, as well as imprisonment in that afterlife after the daedra attack on Kvatch. (He certainly wasn't hired to kill a Redoran official in Kvatch. What would a Redoran official even do in Kvatch? And the Morag Tong is only allowed to operate on Morrowind, so the rival assassin wouldn't have set him up in Kvatch either.) Looking at his Skyrim dialog, I think "Where were you captured?" should have been "Where were you killed?" and "Is that where you were attacked?" should be under the Kvatch topic. I don't have the game so I don't know if the article reflects mistakes in the game or not; but that's the only way to make sense of this backstory. --Gez (talk) 14:59, 10 August 2013 (GMT)
The dialogue topic appear in the game like that, so we leave them as they are. Any more objections? Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 15:02, 10 August 2013 (GMT)
What I am saying is: Jiub goes back to Cyrodiil when the Prison Ship leaves Seyda Neen. Why would he be on the ship at that time? Leave prison briefly to say "Goodbye" to the Nerevar? Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 15:00, 10 August 2013 (GMT)
READ THE ARTICLE - He does not go back to Cyrodil when the ship leaves Seyda Neen. He remains in Morrowind to eliminate the cliff racers. --Nocte|Chat|Look 15:04, 10 August 2013 (GMT)
So you believe you see him again in Morrowind, when it says on his page that he disappears with the ship and is NEVER seen again. You think he is perma-invisible all game? He doesn't leave the ship at the start. You are wrong. Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 15:11, 10 August 2013 (GMT)

() Direct quote from the article: "Jiub, wanting to make up for his dark past, sought redemption by serving the people of Morrowind. He made it his mission to eradicate the Winged Menace, the cliff racers who plagued the roads of Vvardenfell. It took years to hunt them all down as he traveled Vvardenfell atop a silt strider, but in a final battle in the ash wastes, Jiub was triumphant. Vivec, admiring his virtue, saved Jiub from death and brought him to his palace, where he was made a saint. He was hailed as a hero by the people of Morrowind, and earned many titles.[2][3] Saint Jiub's Fair became a popular celebration, notably in the city of Cheydinhal.[4]" He stays in Morrowind. Your assumptions are incorrect. Please refrain from discussing misinformation on this wiki. --Nocte|Chat|Look 15:17, 10 August 2013 (GMT)

I am not discussing misinformation on the wiki, nor am I making any incorrect assumptions. All along, I have merely wanted to know why Jiub went on the Imperial Prison Ship from Cyrodiil, all the way to Morrowind. Also, a quote from Jiub: "I'm sure they'll let us go." They only took the Imperial Ship to Morrowind because the Emperor ordered them to. That was the purpose of the Ship at the beginning of the game. After all, he could have eliminated the cliff racers after the Nerevar disappeared. But, thinking about is. After all, since Jiub is an "Easter Egg" in Skyrim, this whole thing is not really a 100% true. Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 15:26, 10 August 2013 (GMT)

Confusion[edit]

From my knowledge of Dawnguard, the soul Crain is where Captured souls in soul gems go.

If Jiub died during the Katvch attack, was he soul trapped? It seems to be right. Correct me if I'm wrong. Iancee (talk) 23:34, 1 December 2014 (GMT)

Yes, as it says on the page, he was "soul trapped by a Dremora". —Legoless (talk) 23:40, 1 December 2014 (GMT)
