Filter[edit]

Is there some way to filter all books by game? I want to see how many books Oblivion added.Temple-Zero 18:01, 16 December 2008 (EST)

I'm not sure it's quite what you need, but you can see all the books present in each game by looking at the relevant category: eg, Morrowind-Books, Oblivion-Books, etc. There's no way (I can think of) to list books that are only in Oblivion, although you could look at the Lore version of each book in Oblivion and see if it appears elsewhere. That'd be a lot of clicks though. –RpehTCE 05:19, 17 December 2008 (EST)
Or you could scan through the pages such as Lore:Books A and see which books are only listed as appearing in Oblivion. --NepheleTalk 23:47, 26 December 2008 (EST)

Tags[edit]

For the purpose of easily matching books with the games from which they came from I'm suggesting that we put a tag (like this OB) next to every book in the article (naturally, based on the game from which they came from). If you have a better idea for the tag or better idea than the tag, I would be happy to hear it. --Kertaw48 21:33, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

I think that would make the page fa-a-ar too cluttered. Imagine that by each title you would have two, three, or even more little subscripts. I also dislike adding twice as many links as there already are (and this is a very link-heavy page already). As discussed above, it would be much easier to just use the catgories, and in fact, I added to the top of the page that a list of the books by game can be viewed at their respective categories. Well, I'm not sure if it would be easier, but ok. It's just that I'm only interested in Morrowind books, and the ones from Daggerfall and Oblivion kind of get in the way. But then again the Morrowind page is sorted alphabetically, which is of no use to me. Since I know creating "Morrowind Books by Subject" page would be redundant, I was thinking that I would try to do this thing with the tags here. I mean obviously I'm not the only one with this problem (as seen in the discussion above). Well, if the main problem here is the massive number of links this project would produce, maybe we could remove them and leave only the tag. --Kertaw48 13:28, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
You could create Morrowind:Books by Subject, Oblivion:Books by Subject and so on then link to those from here and from the game books pages. That would be quite a bit of work, but might be useful. rpeh •TCE 13:35, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
Honestly? Then I'll get right on it... --Kertaw48 13:45, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
It took me 3½ hours, but it's done. All I can say is that my eyes hurt. A bit...--Kertaw48 17:14, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
Wow! Great job! rpeh •TCE 17:22, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
One thing: it might be worth splitting SI off from OB, and TR and BM from MW - when your eyes have recovered! rpeh •TCE 17:27, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

The Warmth of Mara[edit]

It seems to be the only red link remaining on this page, but I don't know if it's really appropriate for the lore space. Minor Edits 07:13, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

I see it's already been removed, but I have to chip in. Since this book is not only a skill book, but also a faction book on Temple of Mara and one of the rare books on Mara herself, I think it should be kept. The only thing that could definitely determine that it does not belong here would be if it was actually a note. Can someone confirm this in-game? -- kertaw48 20:58, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
In-game it is a piece of paper with two "pages". --Alfwyn 21:18, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
I've seen it referred to on this site as a brochure and bulletin. I'd say it's on par with the The Black Horse Courier from Oblivion, and there don't seem to be any lore pages for those. Minor Edits 23:24, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

Black Book category?[edit]

Any thoughts on what section the Black Book series should appear in? Esoteric? History & Lore? Religion, Myth, & Prophecy? Humor? Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 06:35, 6 December 2012 (GMT)

What are they even supposed to be? Each one is just a paragraph about a different subject. I suppose each one should be judged separately (if they even qualify for a Lore book status). -- Kertaw48 (talk) 10:05, 6 December 2012 (GMT)
