City Areas[edit]

I'm not sure I agree with deleting all the city detail from this page. Yes, it only appears in the game Oblivion, but the names come from an in-game book - Guide to Anvil - and that's usually enough to warrant inclusion in a Lore page. rpeh •TCE 09:10, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I did it as part of an attempt to clean up the list of places, which get pretty overwhelmed with info about the various cities. Plus, I figured these sections date the lore pages; that is, some of the info includes info inapplicable beyond the late Third Era, such as the names of people, inns, counts, ect. But in retrospect I suppose the wiki is better off if these pages bend the rules a little .Minor Edits 09:17, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
You're right that the lists get overwhelmed, and that's always been a real PITA. It might be better if we use something like the {{ImageForNamespace}} template. I made that because we wanted to be able to include images on the list pages but not use them on the game pages. It's a bit cumbersome for large amounts of text though. If anybody has any good ideas here, I'd love to hear them. rpeh •TCE 09:54, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Removing Game Content[edit]

I've removed the Oblivion information found on the page because I believe that it should be on the OB page. But I want to make sure that a consensus can be reached here. Instead of copying and pasting like I have been, I'll simply let readers look at the edit history (so as to avoid having a ton of sections in the TOC). If we decide to keep it, I'll undo the edit in question. If not, then... well, it's pretty self-explanatory. Thanks.--Kalis AgeaYes? Contrib E-mail 10:25, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

It looks fair enough to me, and you're right that we don't really need it copied to the talk page. rpeh •TCE 10:31, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

The banner's origins?[edit]

Red Sails banner as seen in ESO

Well, as I understand, this is the banner of Red Sails pirates as seen in the ESO Dark Brotherhood. (Or has it already become the banner of Anvil...?) Anyways, I was looking at the banner presented in Oblivion and thought perhaps Red Sails banner is meant to be the origin... since they are so similar. Seeing the ties Red Sails have to the city, maybe it could be interesting to mention that from a historic perspective? This banner seems to serve as a base, with the red waves and so. I'm not very comfortable with the lore space, so I'm putting my thought here. Tib (talk) 16:09, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
