Pronunciation[edit]

According to some Oblivion dialogue, it's pronounced "ah buh SEE un". I'm not familiar with filling out those phonetic pronunciation symbols and spelling keys, though, and I don't really want to learn, so if anyone who does know this stuff wants to take a minute... There's also an upload of the dialogue available here. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 22:05, 5 June 2013 (GMT)

I may be wrong, but in the sound clip linked above, it seems to be pronounced "a-BEE-see-un", with the stress on the second syllable? CatusMagus (talk) 20:00, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
Since my above comment, I have come across the word pronounced similarly, with stress on the second syllable (and with the two last syllables almost contracted into one, "a-BEE-shun", which can be heard here). I don't know if it's been pronounced differently elsewhere, but this seems grounds enough to either list or at least include the above pronunciation? Unless there's any objection to this, I'm going to go ahead and change it. CatusMagus (talk) 21:02, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
