Ore[edit]

Both zones Contain Ruby Geodes and Heartstone veins. I don't know how many there are in total or their exact locations but most of them are in the Sanctum zone. — Unsigned comment by Ukstriker (talkcontribs) at 16:45 on 7 December 2012‎

I added the numbers of heartstone and ruby veins. I also included the two Sapphire veins that are located at the rear exit. Jeancey (talk) 05:20, 8 December 2012 (GMT)
Should the Sapphire Geodes really be listed? They arn't actually inside any of the zones belonging to White Ridge Barrow. Ukstriker (talk) 00:42, 9 December 2012 (GMT)
They are DIRECTLY above the rear exit, and there is often listings of ore that is near the entrance to dungeons. It's possible that they could be removed from the info box, but I definitely think they should be mentioned on the page, especially given that you can use them to create the new spiders inside this barrow. Jeancey (talk) 00:46, 9 December 2012 (GMT)
Okay, okay. Fair enough. Ukstriker (talk) 14:58, 9 December 2012 (GMT)

Bridge activation[edit]

If you get stuck (like I did) and can't figure out the bridge control (where you can drop one side of the bridge but not the other) - you need to Whirlwind sprint across the RIGHT side of the bridge gap. The control is on the other side. Agmen (talk) 04:10, 1 January 2013 (GMT)

Pod availibilty[edit]

It should probably be noted somewhere, either on this page or one dealing with the spiders and eggs themselves, that there is only one single respawning egg pod on Solstheim. None of the albino spiders themselves respawn either. Source: Bethsoft support page http://support.bethsoft.com/?i=4536&l=en 76.178.97.251 15:57, 1 January 2013 (GMT)

Bug[edit]

I've encountered a bug. In the very beginning when you enter the room with the two dead reavers, sometimes the door bar will not open. Waiting for 48 hours solved the problem for me. — Unsigned comment by NordJitsu (talkcontribs) at 22:29 on 16 January 2013

Thanks for posting about this! I actually encountered this bug twice, once at the first room where you had the issue, and another time at the first door inside the White Ridge Sanctum zone. I didn't put it on the page because I thought it might have just been my game, but apparently that's not the case. I'll go ahead and add it as a confirmed bug, along with the fixes that seem to work. — ABCface 23:09, 16 January 2013 (GMT)
Exiting White Ridge Barrow and re-entering also fixes the issue, even though upon re-entering, the door may be open with the bar still across. — Unsigned comment by 67.52.224.165 (talk) at 04:29 on 30 August 2013 (GMT)

Flawless gems and the imbuer[edit]

If you use Flawless gems instead of regular gems, you'll get 6 spiders and the 2x recipes. 24.156.216.144 16:19, 7 February 2013 (GMT)

Already present under the notes section for the imbuing chamber. "Imbuing a pod with a standard gem yields three spiders. Flawless gems yield six spiders." Jeancey (talk) 16:24, 7 February 2013 (GMT)

Spider limit[edit]

Does anyone know if the spiders take up a summon spot? JCsquared (talk) 21:30, 8 February 2013 (GMT)

No, they do not. This page is about the White Ridge Barrow location, see Dragonborn:Spider Scrolls for further information on them. — ABCface 22:05, 8 February 2013 (GMT)

Blank Word Wall[edit]

Is it just me, or is there no writing on the word wall here? I was still able to learn the word from it, but nothing's on the surface of the wall, and none of that light came out of it upon learning the word, either. Schiffy (talk) 02:03, 13 February 2013 (GMT)

I just experienced this as well. The writing glowed very faintly and there was no animation or anything when I got near it. Nevertheless, I got the word I was supposed to. Robin Hood  (talk) 03:33, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

Iron Ore[edit]

At the beginning of the second zone at the end of the first corridor by the turning right for the 2 draugr by the barred door is a brazier at te top of some rubble inside this brazier is a pickaxe an two iron ores. Biffa (talk) 13:30, 19 March 2013 (GMT)

Zone 2: Bedroom books[edit]

I believe that all of the books in the bedroom are random, generated from the Book Lists 0-2.

On the right side of the room, you'll find a bed next to a small table which holds a copy of Rising Threat, Vol. I, a random health potion, some loose coins, an emerald, and another copy of the key carried by Merilar. - In my game, the book was: Rising Threat, Vol. IV

The bookcase near the foot of the bed holds copies of Antecedants of Dwemer Law, The Black Arrow, v1, The Book of Daedra, Beggar Prince, The Song of Pelinal, v8, Yellow Book of Riddles, Rising Threat, Vol. II, Songs of the Return, Vol 19 and Myths of Sheogorath as well as a troll skull and another random health potion. - In my game, this was: 2920, Sun's Height, v7., Ancestors and the Dunmer, Frontier Conquest, Galerion the Mystic, Kolb & the Dragon, The Bear of Markarth, The Holds of Skyrim, The Wolf Queen, v3 and Uncommon Taste. None of my books are the same as those of the original editor, implying that these 9 books are random.

On the left side of the room, there is another bed and two bookcases. The southern bookcase holds a copies of The "Madmen" of the Reach, Olaf and the Dragon, The Amulet of Kings, two copies of A Kiss, Sweet Mother, Nords Arise!, Cats of Skyrim, Songs of the Return, Vol 7, The Wolf Queen, v7, A Dance in Fire, v3, The Book of Daedra, a sapphire, a leveled extra magicka potion, a bottle of wine, a bottle of alto wine and three sacks. - In my game this was: Antecedants of Dwemer Law; Beggar Prince; Dwemer Inquiries Vol II; Palla, volume 1; Songs of the Return, Vol 56; The Arcturian Heresy; The Cake and the Diamond; The Song of Pelinal, v5; The Third Era Timeline; The Windhelm Letters; Yngol and the Sea-Ghosts. So 11 random books.

The northern bookcase holds copies of Olaf and the Dragon, The Song of Pelinal, v3, A Dream of Sovngarde, The Monomyth, The Code of Malacath, Vernaccus and Bourlor, Scourge of the Gray Quarter, A Minor Maze, The Oblivion Crisis, a ruby, two petty soul gems-one empty, one filled and a small sack. - In my game this was: Brief History of the Empire, v3; Chance's Folly; Dwemer Inquiries Vol II; Fall from Glory; The Hope of the Redoran; The Legend of Red Eagle; The Real Barenziah, v 1; The Song of Pelinal, v4; The Wolf Queen, v5. These are another 9 random books.

I'm going to edit the article accordingly. baratron (talk) 03:33, 27 December 2013 (GMT)

Yes, looks like all those books are random. But they are not from specific lists 0-2 (actually while those lists exist, they are a bad categorization because it is not often used in the game), but rather from LItemBookClutter, which is list 0-2 combined but whithout "Boethiah's Proving". For example the reference for the book on the desk next to the bed can be found in CSList at 0xDB01ca68. --Alfwyn (talk) 13:34, 27 December 2013 (GMT)

Game freezing in area[edit]

Was wondering if anyone else was experiencing a very infuriating bug of the game just totally freezing up while in this area? I'm on Xbox, latest version and I can barely go 5 minutes without it totally locking up and necessitating a reset of my console. I even let my Xbox rest a few hours thinking maybe it was overheating but it didn't help. The game was playing just fine till I got in and then this. --76.6.141.217 20:03, 27 July 2014 (GMT)

Respawning?[edit]

According to Elder Scrolls Fandom, this place is supposed to respawn if fully explored, so i assume that means killing all enemies within, but I explored the whole place, and it’s been almost a year of in game time but it has not yet respawned. Has anyone else experienced this bug? Troy (talk) 18:41, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
