Stagger[edit]

Before it goes on the page, I want to confirm my experience that Karstaag is not staggered by dual-wielded destruction. --HalfStache 04:18, 14 February 2013 (GMT)

"He is also immune to all types of knockback and stagger effects including, but not limited to, Unrelenting Force and shield bashing." ^^ --WoahBro (talk) 01:54, 11 May 2013 (GMT)

Karstaag Stagger[edit]

It actually is possible for Karstaag to be staggered and even ragdolled by a summoned Werebear. — Unsigned comment by Fooosh (talkcontribs) at 19:25 on 7 August 2013 (GMT)

Maybe the immunity is limited to player attacks? —Legoless (talk) 19:27, 7 August 2013 (GMT)

Call of Valor[edit]

Anyone tested Call of Valor to see if Karstaag is immune to the shouts of the Sovnguarde heroes ?- Adam warlock — Unsigned comment by 98.157.24.218 (talk) at 12:47 on 14 August 2013

I just tried it once, but the hero did not survive long enough to shout even once, so if anyone is going to test it: you need to keep karstaag busy 84.112.150.24 19:08, 25 February 2017 (UTC)

Karstaag or the Ebony Warrior[edit]

Which is harder?70.113.50.53 20:36, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

There is at least one youtube video where they fight each other, but I think the video author used the summon spell which has a duration. There are 2 different IDs for Karstaag. The one you fight on Solstheim and the one you can summon. I did a test by loading a save before the fight with Karstaag, nabbing his ID in the console after he appeared, then loading a save before fighting EW and moving the non summon Karstaag to my location. After quite a while, Ebony Warrior won while still having about half his health left. Another consideration is that I have killed Karstaag on Legendary several ways. The easiest(with prep work) is to one shot him with a power sneak attack from my well tempered but unenchanted steel dagger(no mods, no resto loop, no necromage vampire, no Alchemy headgear stacking). I have also taken him out with a custom enchanted bow while distracting him with flame atronachs/thralls, sword and shield, dual cast Ignite or Incinerate, or on lower difficulty like expert send a well equipped Lydia with a few dozen potions of ultimate healing against him. I only ever kill EW with dual casts of Incinerate(with destruction potion) or Ignite. I have tried one shotting him with a dagger on lower difficulty but his Reflect Blows perk procs much more often than the player's version. If I ever played an orc and used his/her daily power, I might be able to one shot him on Legendary if his reflect blows doesn't make me kill myself through my own armor first. Might take some saves and loads for it not to proc. Jtenorj (talk) 19:53, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

Karstaag killed Durnehviir[edit]

Karstaag surprisingly killed Durnehviir with one hit using the club pound attack, which deals 210 damage in total, however Durnehviir has 1821 health, I am playing on expert settings,so how did that happen?70.70.244.204 02:19, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

Karstaag's club pound actually deals 540 damage. The attack scales with Karstaag's Two-Handed skill since he's holding a Giant Club. His 2H is 100, so he gets 200% extra damage for a base of 180. He also has a perk that increases his damage by 2x, and because it's a power attack, the damage is again increased by 1.5x to 540. Since Durnehviir is a summon, he is affected by difficulty, which would cause him to take 1.5x damage on expert. However, he's also a dragon, which means he takes 50% damage from all NPCs. Considering all of this, Karstaag's slam only deals 405 damage to Durnehviir on expert. Unless you hit him with Marked for Death beforehand, it's unclear what may have caused this. — Sickliff (T|C) 22:56, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
