Wrong Image

The page has a picture of Firiniel's End. Not sure where I'd get the right picture (being a lowly console player), or I'd change it myself. Thanks. Username12345 (talk) 02:13, 30 December 2014 (GMT)

That image was used presumably because it's the same weapon visually. If you look at the Unique Weapons page, we have a handful of images of weapons that all use the same base item for its model, so for convenience, we just used the same image a handful of times. The enchantment to this weapon is special, but it's visually a mundane Elven bow, so a random image of an Elven bow that was already on hand was used. If someone wanted to take a picture of the actual bow and upload it, they could, but that image in place probably won't be visually different, aside from the background used, which is inconsequential to the image as a whole. -damon  ^{talk ♥ contribs} 03:15, 30 December 2014 (GMT)

I'm not arguing the practicality of re-using images for items that share a model - the issue is that the Glass Bow of the Stag Prince uses a Glass Bow model, not an Elven Bow model (i.e. they are not the same weapon visually). Well, then, feel free to find an image of a glass bow and replace it if that's true. I based my thoughts off the body of the text, which said elven, which I guess must be an error, because everything else, infobox included, suggests glass. Yeah you're right, the description is incorrect too. I'll change that, but as far as the image goes, the only Glass Bow pic I know of on UESP is that of the standard Glass bow, which lacks the fancy-pants background that most of the unique items on UESP have. Though I suppose it would still be an improvement over the current image. I'll go ahead and switch to the standard Glass Bow image, and if anyone wants to create/upload a better image, all the better. Username12345 (talk) 05:29, 30 December 2014 (GMT)

Don't worry about the background. The backgrounds have no meaning and are really just the preference of whoever took the image. There's no standard background needed, and it won't devalue the image for the article. -damon  ^{talk ♥ contribs} 05:30, 30 December 2014 (GMT)

VERIFIED: After you give him the melee weapon and attack him, use Bend Will shout and buy it from him.

Tested and verified by doing a reverse pickpocket of any melee weapon ( iron dagger for max chance ), attacking him to force wield that weapon, and using Bend Will ( Man ) Shout to buy Glass Bow of the Stag Prince. Due0covid21 (talk) 14:05, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
