Walkthrough[edit]

Castle Necromoghan looks like a random dungeon, but it isn't. It gets the same build, layout and quest object locations for every installation, so I added a walkthrough for all eight locations.Marstinson 22:27, 19 October 2008 (EDT)

My experiences[edit]

Although this is a very detailed walktrough, I have found the letter at other quest locations within the dungeon. Sure all random dungeons are hard coded in the end, as I wrote some time ago, but the location of the letter is not, at last from my experiences. I've found the letter at least at two different quest locations until now. And as long as no one else can confirm this walktrough it would be best to accept it under reserve and with an annotation concerning this issue.--PLRDLF 14:07, 20 October 2008 (EDT)

not a problem from my perspective. The point of the whole exercise is to get users pointed in the right direction. If you feel that doing that should include a caveat of some sort, that's cool by me. My own caveat: I have absolutely no idea how to do that. If someone who does know wants to add it in, you'll hear no complaints from me. Marstinson 19:54, 20 October 2008 (EDT)
The walkthrough is overspecific with regard to monsters. Wherever it said I'd meet a vampire, I met a wraith. 87.194.117.80 23:57, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
This walkthrough is inaccurate. I am playing the dungeon right now and have encountered no vampires... I encountered werewolves. Also, I have not yet found the papers, even though I went to the cell area and looked in ALL the cells. The paper placement must be random. --65.13.97.164 07:15, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Bugged ending[edit]

I ran onto a bug at the end of this quest where, after retrieving the papers and returning to Aubk-i, attempting to speak to her removes the papers from my inventory but does not launch any dialogue and the quest does not complete or advance in any way. I have no idea what causes this, but I noticed that there are several other people online that have experienced this. EwwJermzzz (talk) 06:21, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
