Region Summary[edit]

There are no locations within all of Betony which make use of any PALA*.RMB record. Combine this with the simple fact that Betony is a protectorate of Daggerfall, and no no ruler is named within the faction database (faction.txt), it ought to be safe to conclude the political seat is Daggerfall City. --Uniblab 22:55, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Betony Demo[edit]

Will the extra content present on the Daggerfall demo be documented? Specifically, this 'Betony City'. I'd do it myself, but I think someone who has written other Daggerfall place pages would do a better job of it. (And I'm desperate at setting up DOSBox.) Legoless 18:24, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Considering Daggerfall is a free download, I doubt anyone would be playing the demo and seeking information on Betony City. Especially since the demo is limited to Betony, and they have nothing else to do in the game other than walk around and find out what shops/services are there for themselves. I suggest deleting the redlink. -- DelphiSnakeT+C 16:36, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
How useful the information is shouldn't a determining factor, in my opinion. For the sake of completion (and possibly novelty), it should be documented. —Legoless 16:45, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
Well, I disagree. There's nothing really remarkable about the city in the demo. To include it for the sake of completeness suggests every city in the game be documented. And that's a whole lot of articles about not much. Perhaps a single article for the demo that could discuss what was in the demo that didn't make it to the full release would work better? That would also avoid possible confusion about the demo city existing in the regular game. -- DelphiSnakeT+C 16:57, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
That's a good idea. If we can get the data from the demo, we could list the differences between it and the full game in one place. —Legoless 17:21, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
